Meeting New People

We all go through life with opportunity upon opportunity, one of those being, meeting new people. It's important to meet new people, it enables you to learn and experience more things. As scary as it may be, you need to go for it? Especially when traveling, traveling is a great way to meet new people, but if you just sit there in silence, there's no damn way you'll make new friends?

If you think someone looks interesting or you would like to get to know them, go talk to them for gods sake! I've met a few new people in Paris, one of which being a French girl who was lovely and funny and had the cutest denim jacket on, I met a guy called Matt who became a friend, lovely, and then just other people along the way? It's fun and I enjoy hearing what others think about things.

Open your mind a bit, listen to someone else's life experiences, travels, hard ships, love stories, make your own. If you don't do it, you'll regret it later.

Paris I'm In Love

After the 10 hour flight to Singapore, then the 5 hour wait at Singapore then the 13 hour flight from hell, traveling up and down about 100 sets of stairs in the Metro. We arrived in Paris.

I was overwhelmed. The old, white, stone buildings with curling black iron railings and flowers mainly red, purple or pink hanging off some.

The fashion. Paris is a fashion capital of the world and I most certainly saw that today. People all had their own style, unique. And oh me oh my all the shops! I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

The food. Yes. Small little boulangeries (bakeries) and patisseries (pastry shops) with row upon row of delicious treats. Cafés, with lots of little tables outside, people smoking and drinking coffee and writing. There were about 10 crepe stores per street.

But the best part of Paris, is the atmosphere. I fell in love with the atmosphere.

The way the air is crisp and cool. How there is a everlasting buzz. The singers and performers on the streets. Friends walkin holding shopping bags and chatting. The fresh, shiny fruit. The flower shops, displaying brightly colored flowers, beautiful. The trees, growing besides buildings and standing throughout every street.

I want to live here.
Paris I'm in love.

I feel very at home in Paris, even though in so far away. The fashion and the food, coffee, writing, I can purely picture myself sitting in in France, in a cafe, with a coffee and my journal. I feel comfortable here, even though I have to wear sneakers, I'm in somewhere I know I want to be. It's nice to get out for a while.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation

This shining beacon of hope has been on my wish list for over a year now. It had been talked about in many youtube videos i'd watched as well as blogs, so of course it had to be tested? So when I found out my dad was travelling to New York, I seized the opportunity, printing him off a document with the product and shade - I really needed that foundation. He bought it Sephora (makeup heaven) and I had a moment of panic because I didn't think the shade I got was right, but I unscrewed this bottle of beauty and poured a small amount onto my hand, picked up my MAC brush and started blending. The foundation has a very smooth texture and you only need a little amount, for my skin (this is for any foundation) I find that if I put too much on it gains this very odd texture so a little bit goes a long way. The Nars sheer glow lasts all day and stays in place with a powder. I am fairly pail, but my skin has quite a pink undertone so I got the foundation in the shade Gobi which has a yellow undertone so it takes the pink shade out of my skin. Matched with a powder like Rimmel Stay Matte, this foundation is amazing. I highly recommend investing in it if possible - a worthy purchase.

This shows the sort of coverage it provides

Karlie Kloss // Style Inspiration

At the moment I have been loving Karlie, I think she is such a stunner. Her body is incredible - I mean those legs are like a gift and she just has such a stunning face. I have been loving her style. Karlie's style is simple and it always shows her figure and height and she looks great in everything, whether it be on the streets or at an event. She knows what looks good on her and what suits her and seems like she wears as she pleases.

Healthy Eating Essentials

When you're changing your diet, or lifestyle, you need to make it easier for yourself, this can be done by having lots of food options. Otherwise, when you get hungry you tend to eat things you'll regret  and that's always a terrible feeling. These food items are great for food at home as well as at school.

Rice Cakes
I'm so glad I bought these, I'd seen them quite a bit and they're amazing! You can put so many toppings on them, tuna, avocado and tomato, ham and cheese, butter and marmite etc delicious!

The Collective - Yogurt Suckies
I love these so much, I freeze them and just take then just grab one for school or for a snack at home.  I always great the strawberry flavor because it's called "sassy strawberry"

Fruit & Vegies
Yes I know, everyone has fruit, but do you have a good range and enough of it? You need to stock up on lots of different fruits, but eat then before they go off. Apples, grapes, peaches, nectarines, berries, grapefruit, bananas, melon, pineapple just get em along with the Vegies

Frozen Fruit
Essential, frozen berries, mango, peaches? Are so great for smoothies, it makes things a lot easier, also frozen berries are good for snacks

Almond Milk
It's a nice alternative to normal milk and it is really good for you, milk can be quite bad for your skin, I think it's the calcium in it, almond milk takes a bit to get used to but it's very nice

Quinoa
These are great for salads, especially for lunch, it goes great with some roast veggies and beetroot, you could add some chicken in it or tuna. It's also incredibly filling

Cheese
I'm not saying full yourself with cheddar, but a few slices of cheese doesn't hurt, especially if you had a few slices of cheese with pear slices, it's filling and a nice combo

Eggs
So this is an essential for anyone, eggs are just a general essential you need them for cooking as well. Eggs are great for breakfast or lunch, have one on toast within avocado, or with some mushrooms, make it into a veggie omelet - so many options

Yogurt
I'm always running out of yogurt and it really annoys me, because it's so good to have with a bit of muesli, or for a muesli parfait or with fruit as a nice snack

Muesli/granola
Another definite essential, it's great for breakfast (obviously) to have on a bowel with yogurt and fruit, or to put in a parfait, even sprinkle a bi lt on your smoothie

Nuts
They're energizing, good for you and easy to grab. It's a good idea to make a mix or almonds, cashews, pistachios, Brazil nuts, macadamias - try avoid peanuts because they aren't that good for you

Almond Butter
a nice alternative to peanut butter, also better for you, it's lovely on Vogel toast and very filling

Dark Chocolate
It's low in fat and sugar and is actually beneficial, just don't eat too much of it! A few pieces with some nuts and goji berries is delicious

Wraps
If you know which ones to get (not loaded with additives etc) wraps are great, a lovely thing to eat for lunch which is healthy and fills you up, fill it with salad and chicken or tuna etc

Me being me, I have probably left about 10 things out which I will remember later, but this is what came to me.
