Everyone needs to be in possession of a 'statement piece', I picked up this exquisite looking piece from Topshop, it caught my eye straight away - sort of hard to miss in it's cherry redness. It isn't something I wear often, especially as it is a strapless and summery item but when I do, I can't help but to feel alluring, and confident and I think it is important to be in possession of a special item which makes one feel such things. So go and find your statement piece!
I recently spent my Saturday catching up with the funny and simply stylish, fashion and lifestyle blogger - Antoine of http://antoineogilvie.com/, we have been discussing the exciting topic of collaboration so be sure to stay tuned for that!
Upon meeting we both came to the realisation we were dressed in a monochromatic manor, sporting white, grey and black - boring? Possibly, but the simplistic tones are so important to have in ones wardrobe all year round, an easy transition from spring to winter with black jeans, white jeans, grey jumpers, black jackets, white shirts, grey skirts, black boots, white sneakers, black dresses. One can, in my mind, never own too many monochrome pieces.
Bold florals, clean whites, lime greens along side hot pinks and sky blues graced the exquisitely decorated runway at the Theatre of Fashion on Friday night. It was a collection that no one will forget which truly showcased the talent of Trelise and all her colleagues.
Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my favourite novels and films, I am continuously taking photographs of the penguin branded book and carrying it around with me. Holly Golightly and her interesting, alluring life and way of seeing the world continues to inspire me.
